Walking into the building, I was inspired by its minimal architecture — a large and open space with a very high ceiling and a wall of windows that made it look bright and airy. The grid of windows with black trim had a sense of structure that I wanted to incorporate in my design.

The design intention was to create a clean, minimal and cohesive space. The architecture of the building sparked the idea of creating a gallery-like look-and-feel by simplifying and unifying, at the same time giving each product the attention it deserved. I wanted to make each product a HERO that has a dedicated space.
The acrylic panels added an element of playfulness to the space casting beautiful colorful “shadows”. Also, eliminating the multiple stands with the product description and adding the digital touchscreens allowed the visitors to explore the company portfolio and learn about the processes. It was important for the client to be able to walk around the products and lift/move/replace them.
The color palette was inspired by the company branding. The materials and colors compliment the product, not to compete with it: the black matte structure – to “frame” the group of products; white laminate pedestals – to showcase the products; and red and grey acrylic panels with very subtle graphic pattern – to display the product names.
