For weeks now, you’ve been racked with anticipation, thinking of what it might look like and all that it will entail. You’ve been picturing it in your head, imagining the possibilities, and now the day is here.
Entrance.
Now, you’re in a vehicle, winding and wending your way up a paved road, and then you’ll see a Welcome Sign that identifies the space (similar to the signage that you’ll find in State and National Parks). It is noticeable, and yet blends with the environment. You turn off onto a path of dirt and gravel, and then come through a clearance to see, for the very first time… BRONCO BASE CAMP
Welcome Center.
What is that first glance or glimmer of all that Bronco Off-Roadeo offers?
The landscape itself: This is an area of rolling hills, with glades of trees extending towards the sky. There is a mix of evergreen and deciduous trees, old growth forests; the occasional rock out-cropping is here and there, and in the distance, there are mountains. The overall color scheme is earthy, warm wood tones and patina. The architecture is consistent, modern, but not new — looks like it’s been there for a while.
You see the Welcome Station. It’s a two-story structure (reminds of a watch tower) that offers views of the whole Base Camp. You are greeted by staff, when you first arrive. You climb to the second floor, do your registration there, and look out onto 360-degree windows that give you a view of everything that Bronco Off-Roadeo offers.
Bivouac.
Off in the near-distance, situated in the heart of the Bronco Off-Roadeo environment, Bronco Bivouac serves as the hub of the base camp experience, and represents the many possibilities of a rich, Bronco-fueled life. It is sizable, and large enough to include a 20’x30’ welcome area, plus two vehicle service bays (each of them, roughly 20’x30’, as well). It houses a whole host of functions from Registration, to the Store, to Cafe, to Technical Demonstrations, etc.
Scattered here and there, prominent and conspicuous, are Broncos.
Welcome/Registration Counter.
Inside the Bronco Bivouac, people find opportunities to get in the game and enhance their off-road experience. Learn how best to remove the Bronco’s doors, drop the roof, or change, replace, or repair tires. Fuel up on everything from gasoline to supplies, purchase accessories, or spray down your Bronco outside and in, post-drive.
Accessories Display. A barn door leads you to a Bronco garage.
From pre-booked appointments to drop-in classes, from scheduled seminars to impromptu demonstrations, Bronco Bivouac covers everything one needs to ensure that their Off-Roadeo experience lives up to the hype—and then some.
Communal Table.
Set amidst it all, there is a large, long, communal table (seating for approx. 60) that snakes its way around the landscape.
30’ yurt.
Within the Bronco Off-Roadeo experience, the Dirt Yurt serves as true destination of learning. As people learn prior to arrival, this is where one goes to find the answers they seek. Whether it be about off-roading, the heritage and history of Bronco, or the all-new Bronco and Bronco Sport, everything you want to know can be found in this one place. Populated with off-road specialists and trail guides, along with brand partners and vendors, this is where you go to get the low-down on winching basics and flat-tire repair. It’s where one learns about responsible four-wheeling, or high-speed off-roading tips, else gets the 411 on Trail Guidance.
Camp.
A few tents set up around trees and glades. Proposing REI as a partner. There are large campfire areas set about the grounds, other buildings and structures.
15’ yurts serve as lodging.
