New Facility Lobby Design 2019
OBJECTIVES
To design a new facility lobby for GKN Sinter Metals in Auburn Hills, MI to welcome the visitors, highlight their capabilities and showcase the products.
A variety of elements to consider:
• Zoning: welcome and registration area, waiting area, products and processes showcase
• Use digital technology to tell the story, such as projection mapping, touch-screens, AR, etc.
• Include branding, graphics, interactive presentation

Lobby is not just an entrance to the building. It sets a tone and gives a feel for the space as a whole. It’s a company’s chance to convey a first impression and first impressions are everything!
Planning and understanding of the client's needs and desires were the essential criteria that allowed for the distinctive identity of the lobby's design that is comfortable and functional with unique and innovative features.
The opportunity to create a usable space, something completely unique and different helps establish a facility's identity, but also serves essential functions of engaging both tenants and visitors providing a central informational purpose.
